Ocps Facilities Use Agreement

Send an email to publiccomment@ocps.net (Put “for Medical Advisory Committee” in the subject) We are a union. We negotiate for every member of our bargaining unit. We leave no one behind. The district is asking OCCTA to sign an agreement that prevents pre-K FLDOE certified teachers who earn less than $US 47,500 from receiving a salary increase, while any other member of the bargaining unit will be increased to a base salary of $US 47,500. It would cost the district $211,000 to include any pre-K professor excluded from the state-funded increase under state law. It`s important to increase their salaries now, because after this year, pre-K teachers, who earn less than $US 47,500, will be blocked by lower salaries when they watch their colleagues` salaries rise. Salary compensation will determine compensation in future years. M. Staff must be scheduled for at least 25 minutes for lunch, which must be within the noon hours scheduled for students, except in the case of excursions in case of unforeseen emergency. On student contact days, workplaces where there is no dining room, or work orders that allow for flexible lunches, an employee may be given about an hour to lunch in agreement with their administrator. In such cases, the workday may be extended proportionately for the worker to ensure fairness with other employees without breaching this contract. Each non-student contact day, staff must have a lunch hour which may be outside the site.

What is deadlock? Either party may declare an impasse if it is clear that there is no way to reach an agreement. As a rule, cases are submitted to a special judge for decision and then to the school authority for decision. OCCTA hopes that the district will forgo a special hearing, so that we can go directly to the school administration to resolve these issues of life and death. In the meantime, we will continue to try to negotiate. Once again, we are here at a negotiating meeting where we are not able to negotiate effectively because, once again, the district has not respected the agreements. The district agreed to provide meters and responses well in prior to the meeting for testing. When did we receive the information? Last night at 8:55 p.m. .
